Senior Canine Camp
Is your dog getting up in years and you hate to leave him alone while you are gone all day? Does he need frequent potty breaks or is he getting weaker as the years pass. You no longer have to worry or feel guilty about leaving your senior home alone all day. We have the solution… Join our Senior Canine Club (same pricing as Daycare Only).
What do the senior dogs do all day? Some enjoy the mental stimulation of watching and occasionally participating in group play, while others just enjoy being with other dogs. Of course, there is endless love, pets and kisses from the staff. The seniors take frequent potty walks around the neighborhood and on nice days, go for a walk around Lichton Springs park (2 blocks east of SpawZ). There are special events such as canine shuffle board, bow wow bingo and paw painting. Come join the Fun!
Is your dog suffering from arthritis, not able to move as quickly anymore? Join our Senior SWIM CAMP (same pricing as Daycare Swim Camp). The “senior swim” is therapeutic, and each dog progresses at their own pace. Swimming in warm water is the best exercise for your senior since it eliminates stress on the joints. The warm water relaxes the muscles, increases circulation and promotes the healing process. It is also good for weight management. The seniors swim separately, either as a small group or individually.
“Our older Australian Shepherd really enjoys socializing with other dogs. There is a lot to do at SpawZ, including swimming. At first, she was hesitant about swimming, but now…she can’t wait to get in. I am sure the warm water feels great on her aging joints. The staff takes great care and pleasure in getting to know each dog, their personalities and their needs. Sadie loves going to SpawZ.”
Canine Convalescent Care: Daycare
Has your dog recently had surgery and you are concerned about leaving him alone during the day? We offer individual care for post-surgery pups. They will stay in one of our private suites so they can rest and recuperate. We provide frequent potty walks and when your vet approves, we can start a warm water exercise program to rebuild strength and muscle tone. Add $10/day to any package.
“I found SpawZ after my dachshund had his 3rd back surgery. I checked out several places and this one had the best resources. He had been given a 60% chance of being able to walk again after the surgery. When he started daycare, he had very little feeling in his back legs and could not stand up. SpawZ made sure he had his meds on time and frequent potty breaks. Due to the diligent care and water therapy he received, he is now able to run. Iggy Thursdays
Howling Hound Thursdays
Obviously, Ann Marie, the owner has a special warm spot in her heart for sight-hounds. Sharing her life with 2 greyhounds, 2 whippets and the little monster in a dog suit…Italian Greyhound PD, life is full of smiles. “You can never have too many sight-hounds,” says Ann Marie. Have your sighthound (greyhound, whippet, Italian Greyhound or other) join the pack on Howling Hound Thursdays for a day of howls and fun.
“JayJ attends daycare every day of the week, but his favorite day is Iggy Thursday. He loves the chance to spend the day making new Iggy friends and playing with old buddies. JayJ bounds out of the car in the morning, tail wagging and is a tired and happy dog when he goes home. It’s been a great way for JayJ to exercise, socialize and have tons of fun while we are at work.” JayJ and Kathy
